Mr. Brian Gunter - Director of Bands Mr. Gunter is currently in his twentieth year as an music educator. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Valdosta State College and a Master’s Degree from Georgia State University. Mr. Gunter has held positions in Reidsville, Griffin, and Newnan, Georgia, and he has taught on the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels. Prior to coming to Sandy Creek, Mr. Gunter was the band director at Smokey Road Middle School in Newnan, Georgia. Mr. Gunter’s students have been selected to participate in various honor bands as well as Georgia All-State bands. Many of his students have gone on to study music in college and are now band directors and professional musicians. Mr. Gunter has been happily married for 21 years to his wife, Lisa, and has two children, Anna and Jacob. |

Lisa Bennington- Visual Ensemble Coordinator Lisa is a graduate of Northgate High School where she participated in the fall color guard for 4 years and was an inaugural member of the Northgate Winterguard, which placed fourth in its class at the SCGC Championships. She was a member of the Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps Colorguard during the 2001 and 2002 seasons. She has also been a member of the Centerstage Performance Ensemble of Jacksonville, Alabama and the Georgia Tech Colorguard. Lisa is currently a student at Georgia Tech with a double major in Math and Industrial Engineering. |
